INDIA---Mumbai based artist Purvii Parekh is all set to showcase her new art collection in the city next week. Titled "Krishna Ragamala," Purvii says the show is to celebrate the upcoming religious festival of Janmashtami. "I have depicted Lord Krishna in my series. The works are in the form of acrylic and oil on canvas and I've opted for colours like pink, magenta, green and gold canvas and wood. I've also painted Lord Krishna in the hindol raga, in a peacock avatar and many more avatars," says the 37-year-old artist. Also in the series one can see Lord Krishna and Shreenathji with Radha and Yamuna while some of Purvii's works are done on real gold with diamonds. [link]
