On behalf of the membership of the Alpha & Omega Project for Contemporary Arts, I extend holyday greetings: "Ramadan Kareem" (July 9-August 8). Ramadan is the month of holydays in which Muslims believe the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is a time of fasting and reflection on the essence of things. As part of our honoring of the month, we'll be reviewing the newly published art book, “99 Names: 1 to 25," by glass artist Andrew Kosorok. In the weeks ahead, we invite you to join us in transformative engagement with Quran-inspired Art as we reflect on the universe as God's great work. For this reason, "Victorious: Al-’Aziz" (above) from Kosorok's new book is our NEWS OF WEEK.
