CALIFORNIA---In June, the Santa Barbara-based Heartful Giving Project launched a crowfunding campaign in order to raise funds and awareness about preserving folk art. Begun by Julia Chiriboga, owner of Adonya Imports, a private online fair trade jewelry business, Julia is inviting other supporters of folk art to help build a Community Arts Center in Súa, Ecuador where local artisans can practice and teach their skills. The Hertful Giving Project crowdfunding campaign runs until August 1st, and donations can be made by visiting www.crowdismo.com.
